Position at Peebles Island Resource Center

A contract paper conservator position is available at the Peebles
Island Resource Center, New York State Bureau of Historic Sites, to
survey approximately 800 works on paper for individual condition
summaries. This temporary position is funded for 200 hours at $50.00
per hour. The works on paper are from the collection of  Hudson
River School artist Frederic E. Church at Olana State Historic Site.
The collection is presently stored at PIRC, located 20 minutes north
of Albany, New York. Experience carrying out surveys is highly
desirable. Candidate will work with PIRC's hardware and software
programs. Scheduling is somewhat flexible and may be arranged with
PIRC paper conservator Marie Culver. Interviews may be scheduled at
AIC Dallas. Position is open beginning July 9, 2001.
