Past Practice--Future Prospects

12-14 September 2001

There are two main themes to this conference--the history of

The 'history' papers will explore the careers of important and
influential conservators, record the history of conservation in a
number of institutions around the world, or examine the history of
of certain conservation techniques. In the main, the period covered
stops in the mid 20th century.

'Future practice' is about the challenges that the conservation
profession has to face in the 21st century.

32 papers will be presented.
