Assistant Objects Conservators
American Museum of Natural History

The American Museum of Natural History is seeking to hire two
assistant objects conservators for one year term positions
commencing in the fall. One job position, funded by IMLS, is to
treat and re-house the African barkcloth collection.  The second job
position is to work on objects from Vietnam for a large travelling
exhibit.  Both positions require a graduate level conservation
degree or equivalent, and at least two years post-graduate
experience.  Successful candidates must be able to work fairly
independently and have excellent documentation and communication, as
well as hands-on skills.
