Permanent Position Work location is in Aylmer, Quebec

Duties: Works with CMN staff to develop and implement conservation
standards for collection, development, maintenance and use. Actively
treats specimens and artefacts at the NHB, VMMB or other venues
where the Museum's collections are maintained or used. Actively
participates in the implementation of conservation measures.
Recommends specifications for equipment and materials for curation
and care of specific collections.   Trains staff on conservation
issues and methods.  Works with Exhibit and Facilities Management
staff to ensure that conservation concerns are addressed in exhibits
and in collection facilities, reviews specifications and drawings,
and approves them from the conservation perspective.

Open to individuals who meet the following qualifications:

    Education: Successful completion of a MSc or MA in conservation
    or equivalent (e.g. Bachelor degree and Canadian Association of
    Professional Conservators accreditation)

    Language Requirements:
    English and French are essential
    Bilingual Imperative:  BBBB/BBBB
    Experience: Significant conservation experience
