Professor, Department Conservation of Cultural Property University of Applied Sciences Cologne (Fachhochschule Koeln) "Restoration and Conservation of Paintings", salary bracket C 3 BBO, application no. 21057/1 The applicant is asked to provide evidence of several years of experience in the restoration and conservation of canvas paintings. The treatment of modern and contemporary art should be an additional field of experience. The applicant is expected to actively participate in the interdisciplinary co-operation in teaching and research, in the program of continuing education and in the self-administration of the department. Conditions of employment: Completion of a study program relevant for this position, PhD, pedagogical qualification, minimum of five years of highly qualified professional experience in the field of conservation (minimum of three years outside institutions of higher education). The applicant shall teach for all levels and in all semesters. Maximum age for tenured (special contract employee) status: 45 years. If the applicant has exceeded this age, she or he can get employee status. The University of Applied Sciences Cologne intends to employ more women in research and education.
