Photography in China

Angela and I are researching the pre-history and history of
photography in China, (Mainland and Hong Kong). Can you help? We
would very much like to hear from anyone who has any references
(however obscure) relating to the pre-history or subsequent history
of photography in China. Subjects of interest include the study of
light, optics, camera obscura, photo chemistry, photographic
processes, photographers, photographic movements and photographic
collections and publications All references welcome.
