Subject: Removing ink from albumen prints

The >ink is from a rubber stamp When the ink cannot be removed with PEC-12, photographic emulsion cleaner with very little effort, it generally is water soluble. To keep the water from causing any damage to the print, I mix it with 100% isopropyl alcohol, use only enough on the end of a q-tip to remove the ink and then a short blast of warm air from a hair dryer to immediately evaporate the liquid. **** Moderator's comments: For info on PEC-12, see Photographic Solutions, Inc. <URL:http://photographicsolutions.com/> James M.
