Starting Salary: $22,210 to $23,543 (Non-Exempt Pay Range 7)

Purpose of Position: To provide technical and clerical support in
the Collections Conservation Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:  Perform conservationally sound repairs
of library materials, produce computer-generated labels,
encapsulate, and construct protective enclosures and pamphlet
bindings.  Help maintain daily/weekly workflow of all library
materials sent to the Conservation Unit.  Help monitor and maintain
established quality standards for treatments undertaken by the Unit.
Assist in training and monitoring of student assistants engaged in
repairs, box making, encapsulation, and pamphlet binding.  Maintain
spreadsheets of statistics documenting the work of the unit.  Assist
in maintenance of inventory/ ordering of supplies and with general
lab maintenance.
