Paper conservator Glenbow Museum The Glenbow is looking for a Conservator of paper artifacts (works on paper, objects which incorporate paper, photographs) to provide preventive care and treatment of works on paper in storage, on exhibition or loan. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for providing training, advice and assistance to other staff and the public regarding paper artifact conservation and assisting with reviewing the condition of paintings for loan and exhibit. Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Art Conservation (Paper) or equivalent, four to five years of experience in paper conservation, minimums of intermediate level skills in WordPerfect, Windows '95, Quattro Pro and Group Wise. Also required are good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team, ability to multi-task, well developed fine motor skills and manual dexterity, and skill at colour matching. This is a one-year term position from July 9, 2001 to July 9, 2002. Salary range is $33,993 to $43,042 per annum. Glenbow offers a full benefit package.
