Faculty appointment meeting Institute's standards in scholarship and
teaching. Rank and salary open. September 2001. Conservator,
conservation scientist, or equivalent. Responsibilities include:
training of graduate degree students in a program which combines MA
in the history of art and archaeology with Advanced Certificate in
Conservation; administration of the Conservation Center and its
programs, coordination with the Institute's programs in the history
of art and archaeology; supervision of research and publication;
coordination with professional institutions and museums;
fundraising. The Conservation Center is an integral part of the
Institute of Fine Arts, the graduate school of art history of New
York University; its Chairman reports to the Director of the
Institute.
