Getty Internship in Objects Conservation Oriental Institute Museum, University of Chicago The Oriental Institute Museum, University of Chicago is pleased to offer a one-year post-graduate internship in the conservation of archaeological materials beginning in the fall of 2001. This position is supported by The Getty Grant Program. The 12-month position will provide the intern with the opportunity to work on the restoration of monumental large-scale stone reliefs as well as a variety of smaller archaeological objects encompassing a range of materials. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to carry out a research project to be mutually decided upon. The internship includes a stipend of $25,660 plus benefits. An additional $3,500 is available for travel and research. As required by the granting agency funding this internship, eligible candidates should be graduates of a recognized training program who will have graduated within 3 years of application.
