Frans Post

We are carrying out technical studies on the materials and
techniques of Frans Post, a Dutch Painter, of the 17th Century
(1612-1680) who painted Brazilian scenes and landscapes during and
after his visit of Northeastern Brazil (1637-1644). Is anyone aware
of any bibliography on his pigments and/or technique? Has anyone had
the chance to analyze some of his works and found any distinctive
features regarding his pigment pallet, underdrawing or technique?
Cross-section and/or x-ray results would also be of great interest.
Any hints would be highly appreciated.
