Blocked parchment

If anybody knows any good solutions/treatments to apply to parchment
that is fused together (partly gelatinised then stuck together), so
that they can be separated, I'd be very grateful to know. I have
tried a water/ alcohol mix, and a 5% solution of Urea in alcohol.
