The next meeting of The Textile Conservation Group will take place on Tuesday, 20 February. Howard Sutcliffe, Mellon Fellow in Conservation at the American Textile History Museum, Conservation Center, will speak on Recovering history: The characterisation and conservation of a 'Coptic' tapestry cover with pile border (A study of the use of alpha-amylase enzymes) The meeting will begin at 6:00pm. It will be held in the lecture hall of the Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, 14 East 78th Street. Textile Conservation Group meetings are free for members, $5 for non-members.
