Textile Conservation Group

At the next meeting of The Textile Conservation Group, Mariana G.
Klaiman, Senior Specialist, Fashion Dept. will lead a tour of the
pre-sale exhibition of the LaRose Shoe Collection. These shoes,
designed by Joseph LaRose between 1949 and 1999, run the gamut from
plastics to exotic skins and fur in fantastic styles.  Ms. Klaiman
will describe some of the questions she faced in preparing a very
short term exhibit for a commercial venue.

The meeting will be held on Monday  February12, 2001, 4:00-5:00 pm
at Sotheby's 1334 York Avenue NYC.

The meeting is free to Textile Conservation Group Members, $5 for
