Library Collections Conservation Discussion Group

This is an early "head's up" for all library collections
conservators and others who may be interested-the Library
Collections Conservation Discussion Group will be sponsoring a tour
of Belfor USA (formerly Disaster Recovery Services) at their Fort
Worth location. This will be an opportunity to hear from an
international disaster recovery vendor with experience in library
and archive recovery, to see first hand the handling and storage
facilities that recovered materials pass through, and to examine the
chambers used in the vacuum drying of wet books and documents.

The tour is scheduled for Sunday, June 3, from 2-5:30 p.m. We will
be busing to Fort Worth, and space will be limited to 47 people.
When you register for AIC(and the earlier the better), be sure to
indicate your intention to take part in the LCCDG Tour of Belfor
USA.
