Storage of CDs

I have a query from a colleague here at Museum Victoria about the
long term storage of Compact Discs containing image information:

     I am looking into archival storage for our image CD's and am
     wondering if you know of anyone in Conservation who could help
     me.  We want to use plastic sleeves rather than the hard cases
     that CDs come in but I'm not sure of the effect over time of
     the (archival) plastic on the CD material.
