The Western Archeological and Conservation Center (WACC), National
Park Service, Tucson, Arizona, is seeking applicants for the
position of Assistant Conservator.  Duties may include conducting
conservation condition surveys and treatments for archeological,
ethnographic and historic objects, in addition to general lab
operations.  Some travel to National Parks may be required.

The WACC services National Parks primarily in the west and
southwest. A museum collections repository is located in the Center.
Conservation work is carried out on collections at stored at the
WACC and in the parks.

The position is listed as a Museum Specialist, GS-1016-09.  It is
permanent, subject-to-furlough.
