One-year term, renewable for a total of three years
Salary:  $27,000 annually plus full University benefits and $2000 in
research travel support  (salary negotiable for person with
significant experience)

Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Conservation.
Specialization in any discipline considered. Demonstrated knowledge
of current methods of conservation, including examination,
treatment, and preventive care. Some experience in laboratory
methods and the use of scientific instruments for examination and
analysis of cultural property. Excellent computer experience and
oral and written communication skills required. Desire to teach and
to assist with curriculum development and student advisement within
the undergraduate- and Master's-level programs. Interest in public
outreach and conservation advocacy projects.

Job Description:

    40% To assist with ongoing faculty research and analytical
    projects and to conduct supervised conservation research
    (utilizing academic and scientific resources at the University
    of Delaware and Winterthur, as possible) for future publication
    and professional dissemination.

    30% To assist in graduate and undergraduate-level teaching in a
    variety of courses, including an undergraduate one-year
    introduction to the preservation of cultural property and
    graduate-level first-and second-year coursework and seminars.

    30% To assist the Acting Department Chair in the administration
    of the academic programs, facilities, and day-to-day
    administrative and advocacy functions.
