Preservation Fellowship New York State Archives The New York State Archives seeks a candidate to join us in an application to the Samuel H. Kress Foundation for a fellowship grant in archives preservation. Fellowships are restricted to individuals who have completed an MA in conservation. Focus of fellowship: 1) aspects of managing the contract conservation treatment of our collection of Dutch Colonial Manuscripts, and 2) assisting in collaborative collections care initiatives and improvements. Assignments include: consult with and review quality of work performed by conservation service provider; and participate in the Collection Coordinating Council, which recommends, develops, and implements programs for improved care of State Library, Archives, and Museum collections. The one-year fellowship starts about September 1, 2001 and provides a stipend of $18,000 plus $2,000 for travel.
