I have a portable 20X monocular microscope (cat. # H-03096-00)
manufactured by Specwell that works well in the field. It also
converts to a telescope for distance viewing of remote surfaces, but
does not include a light source. The Specwell is available in 35X
and 40X models, as well. It can be purchased for about $200.00
from Cole-Palmer: 800-323-4340.
