Two one year contracts in the Ceramics, Glass and Metals Section
Specialising in Ceramics and Glass.

British Museum.

Applications are invited for two one year temporary contract posts
in the Ceramics, Glass and Metals Section of the Inorganic Materials
Group (IMG). These posts are to cover maternity leave. Duties
involve the conservation and restoration of archaeological,
historical and ethnographical objects within the Museum's
collections.

The postholders will specialise in the conservation of ceramic and
glass artifacts.

Applicants must possess a relevant qualification in conservation and
have practical experience in ceramics and glass conservation: a
knowledge of metals conservation is also desirable. On occasions,
the postholder may be required to assist with work in the Stone,
Wallpaintings and Mosaics Section of the IMG. Some knowledge in this
aspect of conservation is desirable but not essential.

Salary UKP 11,600 per annum (inclusive)
