External Funding of Preservation Projects: Exchange of Experience Seminar 14th January 1999 International Convention Centre, Birmingham This half-day seminar is part of a British Library Research and Innovation Centre-funded research project investigating co-operative preservation activities. The project is being undertaken in the Department of Information and Library Studies, Loughborough University. At the seminar John Byford, Newspaper Librarian at the British Library Newspaper Library will be speaking about Lottery funding in relation to NEWSPLAN and Nick Kingsley, Archives Librarian for West Midlands Regional Libraries Group will be speaking about the various sources of funding secured by his department. The seminar will also offer the opportunity for librarians, archivists and other information professionals to discuss issues surrounding the external funding of preservation projects.
