Photocopiers

We're in the market for a new photocopier and would like advice on
book-safe copiers. We plan on using the machine for both rare book
copying (including some oversize materials) and for the usual office
business. Also, we don't have a lot of space for the machine.

I've checked the DistList archives in Conservation OnLine. I found
three listings from '97, five from '94, and one from '91. I'm really
interested to know if there is anything new out there that we should
be aware of. We don't think we'll be able to afford the Minoltas.
Does anyone see a problem with using the Xerox edge copiers for rare
books?
