Photographic Materials Conservation Group-UK

The PhMCG will be holding two short conferences for winter 1998 and
summer 1999.

17 November 1998.  A one day symposium hosted by The National
Gallery in the Sainsbury Wing, Trafalgar Square, London.  There will
be a variety of speakers on the twin theme of Materials and
Collections.  The Group's Annual General Meeting for 1998 will also
be held, at which there will be guest speakers from the British
Society of Master Glass Painters Conservation Committee and the
Natural Sciences Conservation Group.

The fee for November's event will be UKP26 for members and UKP32 for
non-members and as usual an excellent lunch will be included in the

22-23 July 1999.  This two day conference will be hosted by the
Birmingham City Library Service and held at the Central Library,
Birmingham.  As well as an exciting opportunity to visit the
library's photograph exhibition and collections, speakers will
present papers and talks on Albums and Printed Books and some recent
case studies.
