Subject: Health hazards in archives collections
An institution in Washington DC has archival records from the 1950's and 1960's that are giving people rashes which are itchy and look a bit like insect bites. There are no indications that these records were previously treated with an insecticide, fumigant or fungicide. Any thoughts?
