Aquapon WB Interior Clear Epoxy

I am sending this email for a colleague, Diane Palden, Preservation
Librarian at Wayne State University, who is concerned about upcoming
modifications to a storage facility.

    Recently Wayne State University built a new Undergraduate
    Library which houses a large basement storage facility.  A
    variety of records, books and other archival materials are
    housed there.  As it is a new building, everything was promised
    as state of the art, ideal environmental conditions, etc.
    However, in recent inspections and inquiries it was realized
    that the cement basement floor, had not been sealed.  In the
    original specifications it was supposed to be sealed to keep
    moisture from migrating in through the foundation.  The facility
    is already in use and the books and archival materials are
    already in place.  The university is planning to allow the floor
    to be sealed without removing the archival materials.

I am an objects conservator and would appreciate additional input
from as many people out there as have experience in this area.  I
can only imagine that this coating could potentially cause enormous
damage to photographic materials.  The coating is Aquapon WB
Interior Clear Epoxy.
