Publication on paintings conservation

I just wanted to remark on a wonderful publication coming out of
ICOM's Committee for Conservation, Conservation and Restoration of
Paintings working group.  They have been putting out a newsletter
which has commentary on issues in paintings conservation as well as
reviews of books and articles.  The present issue has a most
interesting review of a new book by Paul Pfister, The Significance
of the painting's Surface which accompanied an exhibition held in
Kunsthaus Zurich in 1996-7.  It is reviewed by Jorgen Wadum and he
also summarizes a number of recent conferences and meetings on
paintings conservation.  There is a section on internet conservation
news and sites by Alan Phenix where he provides some good tips on
using the internet as well as some criticisms.
