Technical Assistant West Yorkshire Archive Service Scale 2/3 (10,761- 12,294 pounds sterling) Lottery Funded Two Year Contract West Yorkshire Archive Service is looking for a Technical Assistant to work with the Service's Conservation Section, based in its headquarters in Wakefield. The Service is part of West Yorkshire Joint Services. The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team which is responsible for the care and preservation of archives within West Yorkshire, concentrating specifically on the conservation of the Stott Archive of architectural drawings, which are to be conserved on behalf of Oldham Metropolitan Borough. Funding for this work is being provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Applicants should have at least 4 GCSE passes (Grade A, B or C) or equivalent, including English language and a numeracy based subject. Training will be given in the techniques necessary to carry out the duties of this post.
