Preventing blocking in photocopies

The adhesion of toner to paper in such a case that different sheets
of paper are sticking together is a nice problem to solve in
conservation. However it is better to prevent that such a thing will
happen in the future. Can therefore anybody help me to find
information about quick test methods in order to check if
paper sheets will not stick together in the near future after
printing. Is at present research undertaken in this field?
