Catherine Aster

The Hoover Institution of Stanford University is pleased to announce
the appointment of Catherine Aster as Head of Preservation Services,
effective September 1, 1998.  Cathy was previously Collections
Conservation Librarian of the General Libraries, University of
Texas, Austin.  In addition, she has served as Assistant Conservator
of the Harold B. Lee Library of Brigham Young University, the
Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University, and
the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center of the University of
Texas.  She also has extensive experience as a
lecturer/advisor/consultant--and is an Executive Officer in the
