Seminars on parchment

The Library Conservation Unit of the University of Dundee presents:

14 September 1998
A one-day Seminar on Parchment and Vellum consisting of a series of
illustrated lectures, case histories  and discussions regarding the
characteristics, conservation problems and possible solutions
regarding these materials.

15 September 1998
A one-day Masterclass, illustrating consolidation techniques for
pigment layers, and recent innovations in the repair of parchment
and vellum.

Tutor: Abigail Quandt, Senior Conservator of Manuscripts and Rare
Books at Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore. (both events)
