Hygrothermographs

Ray Bartlett of Onset Corporation (www.onsetcomp.com) informs me
that the HOBO Pro Temp/RH is specified as having a + or - 3% RH
accuracy at room temperature. While Onset has not fully tested or
researched the accuracy curve at other temperatures, he projects a
performance decrement of 1% RH for every 20 deg C excursion from
room temperature based on the sensor manufacturer's specifications.

It would seem that given this claim, the logger to which he is
referring could have practical applications in the museum milieu.
While the SmartReader offers +/- 3% over the span of its specified
ranges (-40 to 158 deg. F and 10 - 90% RH), it begs the question:
How important is it to have that resolution over a 199 degree F
range?
