Salary Scale: SO1, 18,006 - 19,194 Pounds per annum
Hours: 37 per week

This is a key post within the Senior Management Team of the Museums
Service. The postholder will be required to work with colleagues in
all areas of the service to ensure the successful implementation of
the Museums Forward Plan through effective management of the
resources available for conservation and collections care. The
successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to increasing
access to collections through justifiable and effective collections
care, conservation and management.

Applicants must possess a relevant conservation qualification and
have significant employment within a museum environment, including
proven experience of practical collections care, project management
and implementation skills. An understanding and appreciation of the
needs of the other museum teams, in particular Exhibition and
Education, are required as is an understanding of and a commitment
to the City Councils Equal Opportunities Policy and its
implementation in service delivery.
