Costs of treatment

From: Margaret Holben Ellis <mhe1>
Date: Tuesday, June 30, 1998
I am doing an initial foray into art history literature in search of
citations regarding the costs of restoration treatments and/or
projects, i.e., collector's attitudes, positive or negative, on
payments made to restorers, or, in a broader sense, citizens' views
about national restoration schemes, i.e., Violet le Duc's massive
restoration projects. Comments tend to be buried in journals,
account books, and obscure sources--any leads, from the 16th to the
20th century, would be appreciated,
