Cleaning smoke-damaged acrylic paintings

From: Elizabeth Jablonski <ejablonski>

I am looking for suggestions for cleaning a smoke-damaged acrylic
painting. The painting is not visibly damaged, but has an
overwhelming smell of smoke. I understand that acrylic films are
extremely sensitive to solvents and mechanical abrasion, therefore,
any cleaning solution and application process would need to be very
mild. Thank you,
