It may be part of another route to hotels or a separate route; check at the Convention Center. Metro: Washington's Metrorail system provides a convenient, safe, and easy alternative. The "Capitol South" Metrorail stop, located across the street from the C Street entrance to the James Madison Building, is on both the blue and orange lines. These lines can be accessed at the "Metro Center" stop near the Washington Convention Center. For the location of the "Metro Center" and "Capitol South" Metrorail stops and a Metrorail stop near your hotel, check the Metrorail System Map at: <URL:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/local/longterm/metro> )While visiting the Post web site, you might want to check out restaurant listings as well at: <URL:http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/style/restaurants/>) Map of the Locations of the Library of Congress Buildings The PARS meetings are located in either the lst floor of the Jefferson Building (the one with the dome) or the 6th floor of the Madison Building (the one closest to the Metro stop "Capitol South"). Maps showing the locations of these rooms are available on LC's web site: <URL:http://lcweb.loc.gov/ala/alahome.html#maps> Entrances to the Library of Congress: For those coming for PADG on Saturday morning, you should enter through the west front doors which face the Capitol Building. LJ 119 is to the left of the Great Hall. For the meetings in Madison Saturday afternoon, enter through the front door (Independence Avenue) and go to a bank of elevators just past the guard station. Take the elevators to the 6th floor. There will be signage to direct you to West Dining Room and Room 642. You can also enter Madison from the C Street door (near the Metro stop). If you are planning on leaving the Madison Building through the C Street door, it closes at 6 p.m. After 6 p.m. use the Independence Avenue door to exit.
