Outdoor storage of industrial objects

The plastic films "Static Intercept" and "Corrosion Intercept" might
offer a solution. They are said to prevent corrosion from
atmospheric gases and from galvanic corrosion.  They have apparently
been used by some conservators to protect bronze sculpture in
storage or in transit. They are widely used in the electronics
industry, and are now being applied to the protection of other
products by various manufacturers.

In theory, the films provide a weather barrier, a barrier to
corrosive gases, a "sink" for gases which are inside the barrier,
and "short circuit" the galvanic circuit when they are in contact
with ferrous metals.  Some further information is at
