Storage of plastic

I would like to ask anyone to comment on their experiences using
cool/cold storage for the preservation of plastics.  There is much
published about the benefits and problems associated with this method
of storage but there seems to be little available on the application
of this technique in the 'working environment'.

Does anyone have any experiences with the use of cold storage for
plastics that they could comment on?  Were there any difficulties
associated with the technique?  Has the cost of cold storage limited
its use?  Has reconditioning of cold stored items been problematic?
