Project Collections Manager (full-time position)

Education: BA in museum-related field, with specialization in
collections management or object conservation

Experience: Minimum of four years experience in collections
management, object conservation, or conservation support

Responsibilities:

    *   supervise off-site fine and decorative arts storage facility
    *   administer on-site contractual personnel involved in
        collections cataloging and conservation assessment
    *   develop prioritized plan with museum staff for conservation
        assessment
    *   supervise and participate in all logistical aspects of
        object conservation assessment
    *   coordinate object rehousing and packing for relocation
    *   prepare periodic status reports as collections are
        catalogued, surveyed, and rehoused
    *   act as liaison between contractual staff and N-YHS staff
    *   assist with grants related to conservation assessment and
        treatment
    *   perform other duties, as required, at the direction of the
        supervisor

Salary: $32,000 with benefits
