Slovenian flute

From: Niccolo Caldararo <caldararo>
Date: Wednesday, April 29, 1998
This is a request to the person in Slovenia who was working with Dr.
Ivan Turk, the discoverer of the Neanderthal flute and requested
advice on the flute's preservation. Ever since the publication of a
Science News article reporting on April Nowell and Philip Chase's
examination of the flute at the Paleoanthropology Society in Seattle
in April 1998, scientists have been waiting for publication of their
findings. However, a recent article in Antiquity by D'Errico, et.
al. (1998) seems to report further examination by other individuals
from their team. I am making a request to Dr. Turk for people on
the Paleolist if he could clarify who has had access to the flute
and what tests were done.
