Wax model

Carola Haegstroem inquired into the conservation of wax models.
Victoria J. Purewal, of the National Museum and Gallery of Wales,
recently published a paper that might be useful:  "An Investigation
into the Composition of Botanical Wax Models with a View to their
Conservation", (1997) Collection Forum 13(1): 11-19.

Collection Forum is the journal of the Society for the Preservation
of Natural History Collections. Anyone interested in membership can
