Organize, develop, manage, promote special collections and archives;
develop/implement preservation program with various library and
campus constituencies. Responsible for policies, access,
grantswriting, exhibits, cataloging of spec. colls. Required:
ALA-accredited MLS; 30 additional graduate credits for Assistant
Professor rank; 3-5 years exp. in preservation/special collections,
thorough knowledge of professional standards, high-level computer
skills, grantsmanship. Excellent management, supervisory,
communication skills.  Preferred:  extensive training in two or all
of the following:  preservation, special collections, rare books,
archives.  Minimum appointment rank and salary: Instructor; $37,822.

Appointment date by September 1, 1998; search will remain open until
filled.  Excellent benefits, including 44-days leave, calendar
recesses, release-time.
