Duties:  Establish and direct conservation and collection management
policies and activities related to the storage, display, use,
transport, treatment, and maintenance of the National Maritime
Collection.  Coordinate and supervise preventive and interventive
conservation of a wide range of object types, including archival and
photographic materials; textiles; and organic, inorganic, and
mixed-media items.  Manage and develop conservation's human and
financial resources.  Cooperate with staff from across the Museum to
produce exhibitions and public programs whilst maintaining a high
standard of collection management practices.

Qualifications:  Professional qualifications in conservation from a
recognised academic institution required.
