Paraloid B72 and microcrystalline wax

It  is common to use microcrystalline wax as a finish for the
conservation of archaeological iron objects. Somewhere I have heard
of a method where the wax is mixed with Paraloid B72 for this
purpose. My question is if anybody has any experience of this and
what benefits the method may have. I also wonder in what way it is
best to mix paraloid with the wax.
