Assistant Paper Conservator Conservation Center Los Angeles County Museum of Art The Conservation Center of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Paper Conservator. The Paper Conservation Lab is an extremely active, treatment orientated lab working with an encyclopedic collection. The responsibilities of the Assistant Paper Conservator will be divided between the permanent collection and travelling exhibitions and will require strong organizational and treatment skills with experience in western art and an interest in learning more about the treatment and display of photographs. The assistant will be working with the Senior Paper Conservator, Victoria Blyth-Hill and the Paper Conservation Technician, Chail Topping, in addition to a Mellon Fellow or third-year intern in the future. The position is available May 1, l998 and interviews can be arranged at the AAM meeting in Los Angeles or at the AIC meeting in Arlington. Eligibility: Graduation from a recognized conservation training program with a specialization in paper and/or photo conservation or conservators with similar training and experience.
