Bark cloth samples sought

Vincent Daniels at the British Museum is starting a research project
on the deterioration of bark cloth (tapa) and is having difficulties
obtaining samples. Samples of the following are required: sheets of
bark cloth of various botanical origins, old bark cloth samples
especially badly degraded types and the bark and root of the
candlenut tree (Aleurites moluccana) which yields a reddish brown
dye. Please send any samples to
