Textile Conservators

The Historic Royal Palaces manage five unoccupied palaces of which
two, Hampton Court and Kensington Palace, have significant
collections of large scale  textiles.  The Textile Conservation
Studios at Hampton court Palace specialise in the conservation and
display of  state beds, tapestries, costume and other textiles and
are looking for trained conservators to join the team for a minimum
of  one year.

The Studios' main projects are large in scale requiring good team
work over some months. Good communication and organisational skills
are required together with a demonstrable ability to work to a
consistently high standard and to tight deadlines. Conservators must
be versatile and able to meet the varying challenges of display in
the Palaces.

The salary offered will be in the range Sterling 13,000.00 - 20,000
depending on experience.
