Applications are invited for one of the following scholarships
tenable for the academic year September 1998 to July 1999.

    The British Antiques Dealers' Association
    One year's tuition fees for the following conservation and
    restoration courses: ceramics and related materials clocks
    furniture fine metalwork.

    The Edward James Foundation
    Tuition and accommodation fees for the one year Internship in
    the conservation of: rare books and manuscripts

    The South Square Trust (this scholarship is open to UK
    nationals)
    Tuition and accommodation fees for the one year course in the
    conservation and restoration of fine metalwork.

    The Sidney Sanders Charitable Trust (this scholarship is open to
    UK nationals)
    For the one year courses in the conservation and restoration
    of:fine metalwork or clocks.

These courses are well established, with an international
reputation, and are validated at postgraduate level by the
University of Sussex. Closing date for receipt of applications is 9
March 1998. Applicants will have to undertake a practical test and
will be interviewed at West Dean College For further details please
