Archival Records and Preservation Education Special Interest Groups to present a joint program at The Association for Library and Information Science Education 1997 Conference J.W. Marriott Hotel, Washington, D.C. Thursday, February 13th This year two ALISE Special Interests Groups--Archival Records and Preservation Education--will present a joint program for the first time. Entitled, "Archival and Preservation Specialists: Boosting and Bolstering the Electronic Age," the program will focus on the challenges and opportunities for educational programs in these fields. The speakers will be: Terry Eastwood, University of British Columbia; Sally Buchanan, University of Pittsburgh; and Karen Motylewski, University of Texas. This year's convenors are Anne Gilliland-Swetland and Michele V. Cloonan, both of UCLA. The program will held at the J.W.
